I bought the rivermark special which was: scrambled eggs with vegetables, hasbrowns, and a slice of toast. The eggs themselves were alright it was on the sweeter side, so if like your eggs savory I would buy something else. Hasbrowns were big and fluffy. It actually tasted like potatoes, but I'm more of a fan of crispy and thin hasbrowns. The service was alright my friend got his order in about five mintues; however, they forgot my order and I didn't get it until an hour later. I don't know what happened, but I'm sure it was just a rare instance.So the only bad thing at the prolific oven was waiting an hour to get my food.

This review is specifically for the Chocolate Mocha cake. There is no resemblance between this cake and mocha cake. There was no mocha cream inside, just a barely noticeable layer of the same extremely sweet coffee icing that was lathered on the top of the cake. Made for a very disappointing birthday experience.

Met other co-workers here for breakfast at about 7:30am. Parking was a breeze and there was no line. Food wasn't fabulous, but orders were taken properly and quickly delivered to the table. I ordered a veggie omelette, and while there were a generous amount of veggies, the overall omelette was quite bland.

Terrible service. Waitress can't be bothered to smile and was rude after she double charged me.Breakfast options aren't terribly tasty either. Location is great, with a small terrace, but that's not enough to make it a place I would recommend

I went there to get some dinner with family, given the reasonably good experience in the past. Didn't realize that the place was infested with some type of tiny flies till the order was placed. Later food came, and a terrible experience followed with these flies kept falling on the food and all around the dining table, making it pretty much a disgusting experience. Surprised to see that the restaurant had done nothing to fix this, although they were fully aware of the situation. I suggest to stay away from this place till they seriously address this issue.

I mean after finding this jewel on my 1st contract 11 years ago, I had to make a stop on the way home. Thank the Lord it's to far from me where I currently am staying! Simply delicious. The service is good too!

I just love the Egg Benedict over here. Perfectly poached seems with Hollandaise sauce with English muffin. It just melts in your mouth. If you are in San Jose and looking for a place for brunch, this is the place to be.

Place should be closed for renovations? Fridge is all empty and it looks out of order. Where are the cakes?? I guess you order sandwiches and eat in a place that looks abandoned ....

I had the Lox breakfast sandwitch and that was sooooo good . . . but my hash browns, now they were cold. The dining area was cluttered with tables and chairs and customers were all by "my" table waiting in line, breathing on my food. Lastly, the server was nice and friendly. I would go back for the desserts

Would have given 0 stars, if I could. We had the salmon eggs benedict. Seriously, they make Denny's look like a Michelin 3 star. The strawberries on the Nutella waffle smelled like they'd been cut with the same knife as the onions. So food was really bad. Now, the service... equally bad. Dirty tables, no clean utensils, mess in every corner. We paid a grand total of $25 for this terrible experience. Needless to say, will stay a thousand feet away from every Prolific in the future.

The people are nice and the pasta itself was perfect, but the veggies were way under done. Ate all the pasta and they recooked the veggies for me, still a little under done- carrots need a longer or higher cook time. Great atmosphere and the staff get along well, but they should pay a little more attention to the customers and how loud they're talking to each other and standing around the register. Needs a little work.

I love having breakfast here. The food is good and it's never too crowded. There are electrical outlets next to some of the tables, making this a good location for doing some work while grabbing a bite to eat.

Potentially a nice place but after having to wait 30 minutes and chase twice for a plate of hash browns eggs and bacon we won't be going back. People arriving 15 mins after us were sever way before. 2 stars as the guy that took the order said sorry and tried (a bit). Recommend avoiding.

The pastry selection was poor, and the few tartlets they had in the fridge did not look presentable. I wanted to get some to take to a dinner party and decided against it. I did order a eclair to eat at the bakery and wasn't very impressed by that either. The bread was soggy.

Have been to this place a few times for breakfast over the past year. Food is good, but the staff apparently hates working here. Not friendly at all, which makes for an unpleasant morning experience. Basically zero customer service skills or even an attempt. I gave them a few chances, but think I'm done. I would not recommend this establishment, at least not until they can show a minuscule of gratitude/customer service for people who are giving them money. Even a "good morning, how may I help you" would be a start...instead of "what do you need" and finger pointing when you ask where something is. They could at least use words.

This is a combined bakery and cafe.I went there twice, once for a sandwich and once for breakfast (I had the California omelet). The food is good (not outstanding, just good), the service is friendly and the place is ok. The prices are slightly on the high side (but it's not a ripoff).I will probably go there again for breakfast when I'm in the area, and I will recommend it to others as a nice breakfast place.

I had the California omelet and it was delicious. It came with hash browns that were crispy on top and very soft inside. The cappuccino was distinctive, with slightly sweet milk foam and a sour to slightly bitter espresso. At 7:15am the service was prompt and friendly.

Good sandwiches and service. My hot turkey sandwich came with a tiny square of cake, which was good enough to make me contemplate ordering a slice.
